Ski Trips Coach Hire

Holidays that involved skiing used to be for the rich, but the rise in popularity in skiing holidays has meant that you can now have an exhilarating outdoor adventure for a fraction of the cost of what it used to be. From France to Bulgaria, there are a variety of world-renowned ski resorts on our doorstep and we can get you there with our coach hire services.

Benefits of coach hire for skiing holidays

At peak times of the year, during the ski season, the cost of flights skyrocket, which means you’ll pay a premium to get to your ski resort. However, that doesn’t apply with coaches, so you can travel when you want to for a fixed price without any hidden fees.

When we say hidden fees, we are, of course, talking about the fees many airlines charge to transport ski gear. Your gear won’t fall into standard luggage allowances, which means you could be looking at paying hundreds of pounds on top of the cost of your travel if you fly. Thankfully, our coaches have enormous storage areas which mean we can take all your luggage and ski gear along without charging you extra. Better still, you’re not limited by the number of available seats on a plane at certain times as we can transport up to 80 passengers per vehicle and provide a fleet if necessary.

Again, years ago, people would complain about the prospect of travelling to somewhere like Switzerland by car or coach because it there wasn’t anything to keep you preoccupied. But that’s no longer the case. At the very worst, you’ll have to be on the coach for a full day and evening, but that soon flies if you take advantage of the built-in televisions and audio systems our coaches have. We will stop along the way, too, so you can stretch your legs, but you don’t need to worry about bathroom breaks as our long-distance coaches have on-board toilet facilities.

Best places to ski in Europe

Europe is home to some of the world’s most talked about skiing destinations: France, Austria and Switzerland. Neither of the destinations are the cheapest out there for a ski holiday, but they do promise a trip of the lifetime.

France

The French Alps boast some of the best skiing in the world, with versatile terrains for skiers of all experience levels. Ski resorts you should consider for your trip include Val Thorens, La Plagne, Les Arcs and Flaine, to name a few. Each is like a small community, with the latest chairlift technology, an abundance of bars and restaurants and plenty of slopes to keep you occupied.

Austria

There is something quaint about skiing in Austria; it may be that you’re often nestled in a valley surrounded by trees, which provides an atmosphere much like Switzerland but for a fraction of the cost. Popular ski resorts in Austria include St Anton am Arlberg, SkiWelt and Saalbach, which is in Salzburg. Germany is a 12-hour drive, which you’ll barely notice if you choose to travel overnight.

Switzerland

Lakes and mountains sit as one in Switzerland, which promises spectacular surroundings when skiing. However, due to its fame, skiing in Switzerland is costly. But if you have the cash, we recommend Zermatt, Verbier, Davos and St. Moritz for an awe-inspiring ski break. Switzerland is just an 11-hour drive if travelling from London.

Want to ski on a budget?

As we said, there are a variety of places you can ski for a fraction of the cost of popular resorts in France, Austria and Switzerland.

To ski on a budget, we recommend Slovenia or Bulgaria, and if you’re not looking to venture too far from home, Snowdon in Wales has a handful of renowned ski resorts that are suitable for the whole family.

Vogel Ski Resort in Bohinj, Slovenia is an increasingly popular resort for skiers on a budget. It’s part of the Julian Alps and has slopes that rival many of the resorts in Austria. However, if you want to take advantage of the cut price, you will need to travel for 17 hours if leaving from London.
