Passengers must provide us with the following information prior to their inbound flight:

  • Correct passenger quantity and how much luggage they shall have with them – this is not only important for allocating the correct size vehicle, but also for the driver to do a headcount to make sure nobody is left behind
  • Lead passenger name and contact number – this ensures that on the day, our drivers and operations team can speak with the lead passenger to make sure everything is running as smoothly as possible
  • Correct flight number – this allows our Operations team to keep track of the flight in advance of dispatching the driver. This means that the driver will not run out of driving hours should the flight be delayed by a considerable amount

 

After leaving arrivals, passengers are advised to follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition onto the coach.

 

Step 1

 

The coach must stay in the layover area at the coach station and can only proceed to the pick-up bays when passengers are ready to board. For this operation to run smoothly, you shall be given the contact number of the driver to liaise with him/her when you are ready for collection. In the unlikely instance you are having issues contacting our driver, please speak with one of our 24/7 Duty Managers who will also be tracking and contacting the driver directly.

Airport personnel can be identified by their high-visibility jackets and are on hand to assist you with any queries or problems you may have on-site. Additionally the coach station management office can be located next to bays 29-39.

 

Step 2

Once given the go-ahead, all passengers should move to the coach pick-up bays 32-39 (or for wheelchair lift accessibility, bay 29). The driver shall move the vehicle around to the designated bay. 

 

It should be noted that whilst parked in the bay, the driver must remain with his vehicle. Thus, communication between the lead passenger and the driver is essential for a successful pick-up operation. 

 

Step 3

 

The coach shall be located between bays 32 -39 (or for wheelchair lift accessibility, bay 29) as these are allocated for pick-ups. Here you shall meet the driver and he/she shall help you load your luggage onto the vehicle before a prompt departure.

 

It should also be noted that there is a maximum stay of 20 minutes whilst at the bay.

Below you can find the process for picking up passengers at London Stansted Airport. Please read and follow this procedure carefully to ensure that customers are located safely and promptly. 

 

Step 1

Once arriving at the airport coach station, please report to the coach station management office next to bays 29-39 and pay the fee.

Step 2

Attempt to contact the lead passenger after their flight has landed. You can use the flight checker online or call flight information on +44 (0)844 335 1803. Please inform the passenger to head to the designated pick-up bays, 32-39 (or 29 for wheelchair lift accessibility). Contact between yourself and the lead passenger is essential for a smooth pick-up.

 

Step 3

Once the lead passenger has confirmed arrival at the pick-up bay, move the vehicle to the designated bay. Please kindly greet your passengers and assist them with putting their luggage on board. 

 

Step 4

Once everybody is seated, it is wise to perform a quick headcount of the total passengers as not all groups that travel together know each other. Make sure the number correlates with the one located on your work-ticket. 

 

Step 5

Confirm the passengers’ desired destination and safely proceed on with your journey.

Please note that London Stansted Airport has operational rules that you must oblige as a driver. These are as follows:

 

  • Drivers must not exceed the 5mph speed limit in force within the Bus and Coach Station area
  • All drivers or customer service staff are to wear a high-visibility waistcoat or jacket when loading or unloading their vehicle
  • Give way to reversing vehicles at all times
  • Coaches must not be left unattended whilst parked in bays 1-39
  • All drivers in the layover area are to use the designated walkways to cross to the bay area
  • No operator is to fly-tip in the coach station area
  • Only proceed to the pick-up bays when passengers are ready to board. The maximum stay in the pick-up or drop-off bays is 20 minutes. Prior to loading, your vehicle must remain in the layover area at the back of the coach station
